Insight into the western mindset

I can say that the western and asian cultures are very VERY different. Come on, i mean, even the mind set is different. Take education for example....

Asians: very kiasu, study hard, dont ask stupid questions or you kena kao kao

Ang mo: "Open mind set", "Freedom of Speech", "No-Rotan Policy"

So, when we put it like this... Obviously there will be alot of difference in the exam answers!

Where have you been, all these years?

Finally, after so long.......

I learned how to play poker! YEah!!!! Its an awesome game, the best card game out there i think. What i find so great about it is that you can call bluffs, meaning body language, facial expressions, etc etc are all an important part of the game.

My buddys in the hostel taught me how to play last night, so i played a few games with them.

Was the 1st one to go broke in the 1st game.

Won the 2nd game..... Too bad we werent playing with real cash

Hair Experiment 101

Since coming to NZ, ive had.... 4 hairstlyes i think. Good eh?

Normally back in Malaysia, it was either... botak, close to botak, or SPIKES. Over here, i left my hair uncut for urm... 6 months i think. Looked kinda alright, but i decided to shave it all away in the end XD

Then it got abit too long, i went to the barber and asked for a botak cut! She said, boy its in the middle of winter, are you sure you want to shave your hair off? ARE YOU SURE BOY?

Still in my buddys house.

I wear a cap all the time now. And i wear it backwards, hee hee hee.

One more thing, ive been eating so much that i cant see my rib-bones anymore, whoo hoo!!!

I love Biology

The best thing i like about biology, is that its not just all textbooks. You get to go on field trips, museums (boring, but better than sitting on your arse all day), and cutting stuff open!

So on that day, we walked to the Zoology labs. Thats where we normally have our weekly laboratory sessions. but this time, guess what we saw on our tables!!!

this is my rat, i named him chucky

The lecturer gave us a brief walkthrough of what we were spossed to do, by demonstrating a dissection on his own rat. So we watched, some flinched, some groaned.. I was itching to get started.

DISSECTION FOR DUMMIES: VOLUME 1

1st step: use tweezers, firmly pull up the skin. Use sciccors and CUT

Once a hole in the skin is made, use sciccors to cut a line through the body. Peel back the outer skin to reveal the mucsles.

Next, cut the mucsles and peel it back. Now we get to see the internal organs! Starts to get real stinky from here.

kay, i am not a psychopath. The lecturer told us to yank out the small intestines. This is to see how long it actually is. AND ITS DAMN LONG

After the dissection, decorate your rat!

This was the 1st of two dissections in the first semester. The other one was the heart and lungs of a sheep. Didnt take any pictures, cause i figured i should start acting like a student, not a photo snapping tourist.

K, since moving to nz.... i think...

• Ive gotten abit fatter. Face looks rounder
• Cutting dead animals open is interesting ( its called dissection )
• I find that most Malaysians in new zealand are jackasses (i hate my own people lol)
• My room has a fridge, i cant live without a fridge in my room anymore
• Alcohol is a waste of money
• Internet is GOD
• People in Malaysia still owe me money, you know who you are >:)
• I had alot of fun in high school, glad for that
• Most of my ol' friends get shocked when i start a conversation with them on msn, hahaha
• I'm definitely more independant nao

Hmm, yea... i think thats about it..

Anyways, stay tuned. I got a shitload of stuff to update on, and waaaaay too much free time.

Btw, anybody reading this post, please tell anyone else that knows me that i have a new blog. Im too damn lazy to tell them myself =D
